My journey in education has been rooted in growth, purpose, and showing up for students in every space I’ve been called to serve. I began as a Teacher Assistant at Central High School before stepping into the role of Lead Teacher and Coordinator for the LaCrossroads Alternative Program, where I spent seven years supporting students on non-traditional paths to success. I later served as a Cultural Liaison for the School District of La Crosse, working across schools to build stronger connections with students, families, and community.

For the past few years, I have had the honor of serving at La Crosse Polytechnic School and Coulee Region Virtual Academy, where I currently lead as Principal. In this role, I work across both a project-based learning environment and a K–12 virtual school, focusing on creating systems that center relationships, belonging, and real-world learning experiences for all students.

I earned my Master of Science in Educational Leadership from University of Wisconsin–La Crosse in December 2024 (GPA 4.0) and my Director of Instruction Certificate in May 2025 (GPA 4.0). I also hold an Alternative Education License from University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, a Bachelor’s degree in Broad Field Social Studies from Viterbo University, and an Associate degree as an Instructional Assistant (Teacher Assistant) from Western Technical College.

Beyond the school day, I stay deeply connected to the community. I serve as the head girls basketball coach at Central High School, assistant football coach, and president of the board for B.L.A.C.K (Black Leaders Acquiring Collective Knowledge), a nonprofit focused on developing youth leadership and community connection. I am also a veteran of the United States Air Force, where I served as an Aircrew Life Support Apprentice, responsible for maintaining and preparing pilot equipment and ensuring flight readiness.

As Principal, my vision for La Crosse Polytechnic is grounded in building strong relationships through love and dedication, unlocking possibilities, igniting passion, honoring culture, and ensuring every student has access to a high-quality, meaningful education. I am committed to leading with purpose, creating opportunities, and helping both students and staff grow into the best versions of themselves.

Interests/Passions: Horseback riding, camping, being on the river (always), kayaking, spending time with family and friends.

Why are you an educator at Polytechnic? I like the diversity the kids get to experience and the excitement the adults get to see when students learn or find something new. I also enjoy just being around “my kids.”
